Booking Process

Step 0

Read our terms and conditions, about us, why we do what we do, and how we go about it. These retreats are not for everyone and the more clarity you have about us, our location, and our retreats, the more likely it is you can avoid any sort of disappointment. Be absolutely sure our place is what you are looking for before you go to step 1.

Step 1

Choose the desired date of your retreat from the dropdown on the booking page.

Step 2

Select a room/tambo of your choice. Read the description provided before you click on “Next” button. We are working on making our booking process fully automated, but updating room availability is currently a manual process. After you select your retreat date, on the accommodation options page, you will see a list of which rooms are available for each retreat and which ones have already been booked. Please reference this written list when making your room selection because the images for each room will still display as being available even if that room has been booked. You will receive a final email confirmation from our booking staff that you have secured the room you selected.

Step 3

Fill in your details. You will then be asked if you are a returning guest or not.

If you answer “Yes”, you will be asked to provide the previous retreat date with us as well as your photo (so we can remember you). You will then click the “Book Now” button. You will be emailed a shortened version of our intake form so you can update us on any important changes in your life. Our Intake Team will review your case, and if needed, you might be asked via e-mail to schedule a Zoom call or other type of video call with a member of our team.

If you answer “No” (meaning you have never been to our center before), you will be emailed a comprehensive questionnaire. Once you receive it, it is important to answer truthfully all the questions asked as your safety and the safety of all other participants and staff members is our highest priority. Please, e-mail it back as soon as possible – your spot/the room you selected will be held for you until the intake process is completed. You will receive a confirmation e-mail, and once your application is processed by our Intake Team, you will receive an e-mail with available dates for a Zoom or other video call with our Intake Specialist. After your call, you will be informed via e-mail if your application was approved or not.

Step 4

Once you receive the affirmative e-mail, you will also be provided with the bank account details for the transfer of 75% deposit. This has to be done within 5 working days from the day you received the e-mail. Please, send us the confirmation of the transfer via e-mail, so we can track the payment.

Once we receive the payment, you will receive an email confirming your spot at the retreat. You will also receive a note about your remaining balance, which we will ask you to bring in cash. Please note, we can only accept the US dollars in crisp, unmarked, tear-free bills. We won’t be able to accept bills that have even a minor tear or bills with markings on them (thank you for understanding).

You will also receive the preliminary information about how to start preparing for your retreat, how to adapt your diet, what medications to stop and by when, what to bring, where to stay in Tarapoto before the pick-up day, and other useful tips.

Step 5

14 days before the starting date of your retreat, you will receive a reminder about your retreat dates as well as a reminder about pre-retreat diet recommendations.

Step 6

At 11am on the first day of your retreat, we will pick you up from the lobby of the hotel we use as our pick-up site.

NOTES:

If you choose to stay at a different hotel than our pick-up site, it is your responsibility to organize your transport to our pick-up site. If you are planning to come on the day the retreat starts but cannot make it to the pick-up site on time, contact us at info@la-medicina.com. We can organize private transport for you for $25 USD and bring you to the center. The only way to get to our center is with our own transport (no taxis).

At the moment we are trying to resolve being able to receive credit card payments, and we hope to have a solution for this soon.
