Rooms

Room 1 & 2

Fully contained studio designated for a single occupancy. It has a kitchen with a dining table and a private toilet with a hot shower. Rooms two and one are the only rooms with queen size beds and have the highest quality bedding and mattresses at La Medicina. There is a hammock inside, and room two has a terrace with a coffee table and seating for two people, which can be used by guests from rooms one and two. It is centrally located, close to the dining room, chiloka, and fire pit. Suitable for people who have difficulty getting up the stairs. However, it might not be as private when it comes to noise. As it is very close to dining, chiloka, and the fire pit, where people congregate, the voices might carry to the room, which for some people might be disturbing when they try to rest.

Room 3, 4, & 5

– Casa Huespedes –

Located in the Casa Huespedes, single occupancy, private bath, hot shower, porch with chair and hammock, shared living room. Centrally located, very close to dining, chiloka, and fire pit area.

A double shared room in Casa Huespedes, which has a private toilet and hot shower for two people. It also has a private porch/terrace with a rocking chair and hammock. The house has three rooms, including a shared living room. The house is centrally located, close to dining, a chiloka, and the fire pit area.

Room 6 & 7

– Casa Vista –

A single occupancy room in Casa Vista, potentially our most beautiful accommodation due to its location, perched up high on a hill with a view of the jungle. Room seven has a terrace with a hammock and a chair, a private bathroom with a hot shower, and a shared living room with a kitchen with room six. The bed is twin size. There is a private library in the living room. It is a very private location with the least noise pollution caused by humans. Since it is located on the hill, there are quite a few stairs one needs to climb to get to the house. It is not recommended for guests with mobility issues.

Room 8 & 9

– Casa Nuevo –

Located in Casa Nueva, room eight is simple and single occupancy. It shares a separate toilet and a bathroom with a hot shower with room nine. It is a smaller room than our other offerings but has outside seating, benches, and chairs on a covered terrace—the simplest accommodation after our tambos. It is centrally located, close to dining, chiloka, and the fire pit area. Noise pollution might concern some guests in the morning, as it is near the worker’s area.

Room 10

The tambos are the most economical options at La Medicina, which are basic huts in the forest, with no toilet or water (shower and toilets are to be used in the Maloka bathroom). Tambo eleven is smaller in size than Tambo ten. The most distant and isolated locations, so both tambos require a short walk. Tambo ten requires going up many stairs. Tambos offer the most exposure to the jungle sounds and environment. They are small and very primitive. It is our most private and most desired accommodation option.

Room 11
